The Best Internet Provider – Having trouble choosing which internet provider to subscribe to? Well, you’re in luck, because subscription TV and Internet site CableTV.com recently released the results of its latest customer satisfaction survey that determined which Internet provider is the best in 2022.
To understand how ISPs are performing, CableTV.com surveys thousands of customers at the nation’s largest ISPs. And to inform the 2022 survey, the folks at CableTV.com asked more than 2,000 Americans about how satisfied they are with the speed, cost, reliability and customer service of their Internet connections this year.
The Best Internet Provider
Largely due to its excellent fiber network and contract-free service, Verizon emerges as the top Internet provider in overall satisfaction in 2022. It is followed by AT&T in second place and Xfinity in third place. Spectrum comes fourth in the rankings, with Cox rounding out the top 5.
Best Internet Providers In Saudi Arabia And Comparison Between Them
Verizon is also ranked #1 in the top ISPs most likely to be recommended by customers. It has a sizable 7% lead over second-place AT&T and a whopping 10% lead over third-place Xfinity. Sparklight and Spectrum are fourth and fifth respectively.
When it comes to internet speed, Xfinity and Verizon are tied for first place, while Spectrum narrowly overtakes AT&T for third place. In general, customers with a fiber internet connection give their provider higher speed ratings. Although AT&T offers fiber Internet plans, much of its Internet network is still DSL-based, which explains its relatively low ranking in the speed category.
The survey also reveals Verizon as the best ISP for customer support. It is followed by AT&T, Spectrum, Xfinity and Cox. Interestingly, although Xfinity finished fourth in the rankings, it had the second-highest mark of unhappy customers among major ISPs. But because good customer service doesn’t just mean an internet provider quickly brings a truck to your house or resolves a billing issue, Xfinity is doing better compared to Suddenlink and its lower 32% customer dissatisfaction rating. customer support.
Given the quality of service they receive, are customers happy with the price they pay for their internet? The survey results show that 56% of Verizon customers rate the cost of their Internet plan as excellent or good. 54% of AT&T customers and 47% of Spectrum customers also rate the price they pay for their Internet as excellent or good, given the quality of service they receive.
The Best Internet Providers In The Us In 2022
In short, CableTV.com’s customer satisfaction survey reveals that customers only want Internet plans they don’t have to worry about. And Verizon, AT&T and Xfinity are the top 3 internet providers that have consistently provided high quality internet service to customers this year. WE
Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have a bad reputation – which is often well deserved. But Internet network options are limited by region, so we’re stuck in “can’t live with them, can’t live without them” relationships with our ISPs.
But ISPs are not static entities – their networks, people and technologies change all the time – so your experience can change too. Data from this survey can provide a clearer picture of how people feel about individual ISPs today.
This year, we teamed up with Pollfish to survey thousands of customers (200 per company) about their satisfaction with their ISP. We’ve pulled together all the information to see how your internet options are serving your customers right now.

In 2019, Mediacom was penultimate on our scoreboard. It has now dropped to last place – and by a wide margin.
While Mediacom’s internet plans have speeds and prices well in the middle of what other providers offer, our survey respondents didn’t seem satisfied with their experience.
Australia’s Cities With The Fastest Broadband Internet
Honestly, we can’t blame them. We don’t recommend Mediacom’s starter packs as the data caps are prohibitively low.
Mediacom has a strong presence in the Midwest, but so do some of our top scorers – AT&T, Frontier, Spectrum and Xfinity. If you are not satisfied with your Internet Mediacom, check out the other options in your area.
With its 100% fiber network, Verizon Fios offers high-speed Internet with matching upload and download speeds – something most providers can’t or won’t.
However, while Xfinity’s upload speeds are abysmal, it has exploded download speeds in many areas this year. As customers pay the same price for faster speeds, Xfinity’s Internet speeds are more satisfying than before.
How To Choose The Right Isp: Guide To The Best Internet Provider In The Philippines
We’re not surprised to see AT&T regain its third-place position. AT&T has some fiber in its network, and while speeds vary by region, AT&T’s plans come with the fastest speeds they can offer in that area.

These three providers excel in reliability, largely due to their type of network service. All three are partially or wholly fiber-based.
The fiber cables they use to serve the Internet consist of thin strands of glass or plastic. The information you want travels in the form of light, which is much faster and more reliable than the analogue signals you receive over DSL and copper coaxial cable.

While Xfinity and AT&T use some cable and DSL, respectively, to operate their networks, Verizon Fios’ system is 100% fiber. Full use of fiber can provide an even better internet experience than hybrids.
No type of internet service is perfect, but fiber can handle tons of users and their internet needs. Since these three providers have so much fiber in their networks, it’s no surprise to see them leading in speed or reliability.

Since, in most cases, your ISP does not oblige you to rent a modem from them, not all of our survey participants have one from their ISP. Therefore, we feel that it would not be fair to include these results in the overall score.

But here at , we find modems super interesting – at least, the writer assumes that’s why we write so many articles about them. And our deep passion for modems is why we include this question.
